AMCIS 2005 Call for Panels, Tutorials, and Workshops Print

IMPORTANT DEADLINES:
Panel and tutorial submissions: February 1, 2005
Workshop submissions: March 1, 2005

This year we have a separate committee to review panel, tutorial, and workshop proposals. If you wish to propose panels, tutorials, or workshops at AMCIS 2005, please send your proposals directly to:

Please note that even if you are submitting a panel/tutorial/workshop proposal to a minitrack, you must submit the proposal to the above email account in order for it to be considered. Panel/tutorial/workshop proposals not submitted to this email address cannot be accessed by the panel/tutorial/workshop co-chairs and, therefore, cannot be considered. All submissions should be 5 pages or less (double-spaced) and in MSWord or PDF format and cover timely topics of interest to the Information Systems community.

Format for a tutorial proposal (1.5 hours long):

  • Tutorial title, a 200-word abstract, and a brief outline
  • Information on the speaker should include the name, affiliation address (postal address, telephone, fax and e-mail), and qualifications for giving the proposed tutorial
  • Special requirements such as Internet access and access to computers or software, etc.
  • Description of likely participants and an estimate of the number of participants attending the tutorial

Format for a panel proposal (1.5 hours long and 3-5 speakers):

  • Panel title, a 200-word abstract, and a brief outline
  • Information on the panel chair should include the name, affiliation address (postal address, telephone, fax and e-mail)
  • Envisioned activities during the panel
  • Names and affiliation of the panelists. Note: Panelists must commit to participating in the panel prior to the submission.
  • Description of likely participants and an estimate of the number of participants attending the session

Format for a workshop proposal (either full or half day):

  • Workshop title, a 200-word abstract, whether it is a whole day or half day, and a brief outline
  • Information on the workshop leader and/or speaker should include the name, affiliation address (postal address, telephone, fax and e-mail)
  • Envisioned activities during the workshop
  • Special requirements such as Internet access, access to computers, limit to the number of enrollees, etc.
  • Description of likely participants and an estimate of the number of participants attending the workshop
